About Us!

Hi! We're Trace and Breen, founders of Gentle Nest!

We have seven wonderful children and a busy, love-filled home! With teenagers to toddlers and a baby, there's no shortage of laughter, kisses and open arms for
cuddles! Educators in our 'other life', we enjoy working with children, and appreciate the hard work involved in parenting!

The sling is not a new idea - babies have been carried in cloths and slings throughout the ages! Although we've been experimenting with different slings and carriers since our first baby was born (a long time ago!), we've been involved in designing and creating our own pouch slings and carriers for over three years.

We were overjoyed at how successfully our pouch sling helped smooth the transition of having a new baby in the family, allowing us to continue caring for our other children, hands free to get on with our daily routines, while soothing and keeping baby safe and secure at the same time! A very contented, happy and beautifully bonded baby who rarely cried, was an added bonus!

When the slings we made for friends as gifts become a hit, word quickly got around,
and we were soon being urged to produce more! Before long, we were inundated with orders and Gentle Nest was born! We loved our pouch sling so much, we wanted to make it available to other Mums and Dads!

We've worked hard over the past years to meticulously refine our pouch design, trialling different materials, fabrics and sizing until we were satisfied we had the highest quality product to offer. At Gentle Nest, we have taken an age old design, redefined and added our own touches to create a modern pouch that is easy to use, and extremely comfortable for both baby and you!

We now retail our pouches and carriers through baby stores, and have sold slings in five major countries! Each week we're excited to read the overwhelmingly positive feedback we receive from our happy customers!

At Gentle Nest, we believe in and promote parenting gracefully and gently - this is the story behind our name Gentle Nest (for gentleness). We emphasise mutual respect and
understanding, and guidance through encouragement, believing these are the keys to a healthy, mutually responsive parent-child partnership!
